How to Survive a Political Crisis and Other Diplomatic Lessons

We were delighted to co host an event with the Austrian Society featuring Leigh Turner, former British Ambassador to Austria and Ukraine and UK Permanent Representative to the United Nations.

The talk explored diplomacy under pressure, drawing on Turner’s experiences navigating political crises, representing the United Kingdom abroad, and working within international institutions. His reflections offered valuable insight into the realities of diplomacy, decision making, and negotiation at the highest level.

Following the discussion, attendees were invited to stay for dinner, allowing for a more informal conversation and further questions. The evening provided space for thoughtful discussion and exchange between members of both societies.
