✨ Public students-led events apart, the Ambassador met with Oxford University academic community to exchange views and ideas on the current state of affairs in international politics.

✨ The Ambassador’s visit was on the day of anniversary of the birth of #TarasShevchenko, Ukraine’s iconic poet and painter.

On their seats, participants of the meeting at the Union could have found postcards with art works picturing Taras Shevchenko as well as “Postcards from Ukraine”, prepared by the Ukrainian Institute.

✨ The Ambassador’s wife, Mrs. Inna Prystaiko visited the exhibition devoted to Shevchenko’s birth in the Taylor Institution Library, Oxford, kindly organised by the Subject Librarian Nick Hearn. She also had a tour at the Pitt Rivers Museum to learn about the famous Multaka-Oxford — a charity organisation, which currently conducts a tour guide training programme for people from Ukraine.

💛💙 #OxfordUniversityUkrainianSociety expresses sincere appreciation to all whose endeavors shaped that day as a truly Ukraine’s day here, at Oxford.

We are grateful to the First Secretary of the Embassy of Ukraine to the UK, Mr. Dmytro Tretiakov, for his efforts in making all the events possible.
